Fireproofing Principle

The product consists of two or more layers of tempered glass with an inorganic fire-resistant adhesive layer (dry or wet process nano-silica) sandwiched in between, and is sealed with flame-retardant material around the edges. When exposed to fire, the glass on the side facing the flames shatters, while the fireproof adhesive expands by approximately ten times, forming a rigid insulating barrier that blocks the transmission of flames, high temperatures, and smoke.

      FAQ
What is the difference between A60 and B60 fire-resistant glass?
A:A60 requires both integrity and insulation properties and is used for the adjacent area of the cabin and evacuation routes; B60 only needs integrity and is mostly used for the top of non-residential areas.
Can the electric heating be connected to 220V?
A:No. The electric heating glass for ships must use 24V/48V safe extremely low voltage DC power supply, and be equipped with a dedicated constant current power source.
Does replacing the fireproof glass on an old ship require conducting a new fire resistance test?
A:No need. Replace with the same specification and certified model of glass. Just provide the original factory replacement certificate and installation witness record. There is no need to conduct repeated tests for the entire cabin.
What are the consequences of the absence of fireproof glue?
A:If the fireproof glue is lost by more than 10%, it will directly reduce the heat insulation performance, causing the temperature rise on the back side of the object to exceed the standard, which is a major defect.
