Working Principle
RDJ-2 adopts photoelectric smoke detection principle. Inside the chamber, an infrared transmitter and receiver are installed. When there is no smoke, infrared light cannot reach the receiver. Once smoke particles enter the sensing chamber, the infrared light is scattered and captured by the receiver. When smoke concentration reaches the alarm threshold, the detector sends an alarm signal back to the fire alarm control panel.

Maintenance Instructions

1. Visual inspection regularly, check if the detector shell is damaged, blocked by dust or oil dirt
2. Clean the smoke sensing chamber with dry soft brush or low-pressure air blower every 6~12 months; Do NOT use liquid cleaner
3. Test detector function by smoke tester regularly according to ship maintenance plan
4. Replace the detector if it fails to respond during test, or reach service life
5. Keep the installation surface stable, avoid strong air flow, oil vapor and corrosive gas for long-term exposure
